Education Director, The Sepsis Institute
Peter Brodhead joined the Sepsis Alliance in 2019 as Education Director for The Sepsis Institute. Peter is passionate about improving the quality of healthcare education across the continuum of care. Over the course of 13 years, Peter directed Continuing Medical Education (CME) at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and brought the program to Commendation level from the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education. Peter later became Director of CME at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai (ISMMS) where he managed the merging of several CME programs under the Mount Sinai Health System umbrella and conducted the 2019 reaccreditation of the ISMMS CME Program.
Peter received his BA Magna Cum Laude in Literature and Society from Brown University. He is a member of the Alliance for Continuing Education in the Healthcare Professions and works with a network of CE colleagues across the country to identify and implement best practices in CE for healthcare providers.
Applying his experience in CE in healthcare to the life-saving work of the Sepsis Alliance, Peter works to develop education that will continue to expand knowledge of the diagnosis and treatment of Sepsis. When he is not working on the education efforts of The Sepsis Institute, Peter can be found reading or working in the family garden.
