Marianne Colvin

Tribute

My mother was a beautiful, vivacious, happy woman until she got cancer. Even through all the horrible treatments and surgeries she remained positive. Through the terrible pain, she refused to give up. She ended up getting bleomycin toxicity in her lungs and while she was in the hospital, they allowed her to develop a stage 4 bedsore. From that came widespread systemic sepsis. I held her hand as each of her organs began to fail and watched as the most beautiful heart I’d ever known stopped beating. She died 2 months after this video.
