My beloved wife, FrannyAngel had previously had been suffering from type 2 diabetes and heart related conditions. (Sepsis and Diabetes) The weekend of October 16-18, 2015, she started getting flu-like symptoms. At the time I did not think it was any worse than just a touch of the flu. She had been in the hospital a lot recently and had been through many procedures and medications for her condition. I believed that her immune system was just down or maybe she caught a virus.

A couple days later she developed side pain, and discomfort and I wasn’t sure what this could be. I rushed her to the hospital on October 20, and my life changed forever. After tests were done she had a bowl blockage (they did not know why), and later after blood work was done found out she had a terrible bacterial infection that turned into the deadly disease sepsis. I was devastated to see my wife of 32 years in surgery and then put on life support. I was so heartbroken to see her this ill and fighting for her life.

I prayed to God constantly but after 15 days in the ICU she passed from Sepsis complications on November 4, 2015. For the last 15 months I have been suffering from severe grief, profound sadness, and emptiness. I miss her more than I can put into words. She was the love of my life, my meaning and purpose, my blessing from God and I will be forever lost without her. I now promote sepsis awareness every chance I can, giving out symptom cards and talking about this terrible illness that so many people know little or nothing about. God Bless to all.
